SOUTHALL 4-4 THE WELLS

The Wells came away from Southall with a replay after a gripping 4-4 draw on Sunday afternoon.

The Wells took the lead on 17mins after Josh Froggatt crossed in for Jason Thompson to rifle home.

Jason Thompson missed the opportunity to double The Wells lead 5mins later when he drove into the side netting after Josh Froggatt had done brilliantly again on the wing.

Ryan Nicholls was called into action in the 24th minute saving well from point blank range.

Chris Lawal doubled The Wells lead when Jake Beecroft caught the Southall defence napping and played in Lawal after a short free kick on 27mins.

Jack Mills pulled a goal back for the hosts on 34mins when he curled in from outside the area.

Southall almost equalised 3mins later but managed to blaze their effort over the bar from 5 yards out.

The Wells restored their two goal buffer on 42mins when Euan Sahadow free kick curled into the Southall area and was headed home into their own net by their defender.

Jason Thompson almost put the tie to bed on the stroke of half time but his effort went wide after Euan Sahadow had found him with a glorious cross.

Southall made it 2-3 when Gary Austin headed home from a corner.

Darren Mark levelled the tie on 75mins when he went unmarked into The Wells area to score.

Southall were reduced to ten men when their holding midfielder got his marching orders for a second bookable offence.

Jason Thompson rattled the Southall bar with an indirect free kick inside the area after an illegal back pass.

Thompson looked to have won it for The Wells in the last minute when he drilled hole on 90mins.

With the game into its 7th minute of injury time Southall sent the game to extra time when they equalised again with the last kick of normal time.

With neither team able to find a winner in extra time the score remained 4-4.
