MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER

I just wanted to thank everyone who travelled last night to Fisher to support us. It baffles me a little how year after year we get midweek games so far from Tunbridge Wells with all the rush hour London traffic, so it was even more fantastic to see so many fans there being as loud and supportive as always.

Last night showed what we have been building over the last few weeks - there have been a few comments locally about a large player turn-over at the club this year but that isn't the case. What we have done is build a larger squad than usual and it was for nights like last night: For an important cup game we were missing Bourne, Bryant, Potter, Spackman, Radford, Lutchford and Parsons, while Beecroft was playing with a severe sickness bug.

But those that stepped in have given us a massive selection headache as they were superb. Tom Davey at centre half and Beecroft at left back playing out of position were excellent, while Jamie Lawrence on his debut was excellent alongside Fuller who we are delighted to have back from suspension.

Those that were there witnessed Boothy's first 30 minutes in a Wells shirt and he was millimetres away from scoring with his first touch. All in all, a great night and with seven wins on the bounce, 10 unbeaten, we can put the League Cup on the back burner for a while now, and re-focus on the League again where we hope to see as many of you as possible down in Deal where your support will as always be appreciated.
