The first home game of the 18/19 campaign sees The Wells welcome Corinthian to The Culverden on Tuesday evening.

Like The Wells, Corinthian also suffered defeat in their season opener. Losing 1-4 at home to promotion favourites Chatham Town.

After a strong start The Hoops finished last season in 9th place on 56pts. They won 17, drew 5 and lost 16.

Last seasons meeting saw The Wells suffer a 1-3 defeat. Steven Ita scoring a Wells consolation in front of a crowd of 207.

The Wells slipped to defeat on a scorching August Saturday on the opening day of the season.

Glebe forward Steve Smith gave the hosts the lead on 37mins with a goal from an acute angle.

Smith doubled his and his sides lead on 73mins with a good individual goal.

Sam Edwards added a third from the penalty spot for Glebe after Alexx Kendall was adjudged to have tripped the midfielder 3mins into injury time.

Josh Biddlecombe grabbed a welcome consolation goal for The Wells 5mins into time added on.

The Curtain raiser for the 18/19 campaign sees The Wells make the trip to Chislehurst to face Glebe.

Glebe finished last season in a respectable 12th place in their inaugural season in the premier division.
Of the 38 games played they won 15, drew 6 and lost 17 amassing 51pts.

The Wells will be looking to improve on last years league position of 15th.
They amassed 46pts from 38 games by way of 12 wins, 10 draws and 16 defeats.

Last seasons meeting between the two saw a goalless draw at Foxbury Avenue.

With Pre Season now well underway, we caught up with the gaffer to ask his thoughts on last season, his ambitions for next season and how the team is shaping up for the new season.

Have you watched much of the World Cup?

Yes of course. Got to be done!
The First World Cup I remember was 1990 and I fell in love with football ever since. Even though the national team has disappointed in recent years you cling to the memories of the good times.

What did you think of England’s performances.

The preliminary rounds for the FA Cup and Vase have been drawn this afternoon and see The Wells travel away to league rivals Croydon in the FA Cup on Saturday 11th August.

The Wells will then travel to Billinghurst of the Southern Combination League division 1 on Saturday 1st September.

Saturday’s first Pre Season away to Jarvis Brook has now been postponed.

The Wells will now begin their pre season away at Kent Football United on Tuesday 10th July- 7:45pm at Saint Paul’s Academy 4G Abbey Wood. The Wells then travel to Whitstable on Saturday 14th July - 3pm.

This is followed by a new friendly fixture away to Erith & Belvedere on Thursday 19th July, Kick Off 7:45pm

A Spectacular long range goal from Whitstable's Ricky Freeman was the difference as The Wells gallantly lost their SCEFL Challenge Cup final.

The Wells 55th and final game of the season sees them travel to Tonbridge Angels Longmead Stadium on Saturday for the SCEFL Challenge Cup final against Whitstable Town.

The Oysters have enjoyed a tremendous season having sealed promotion by finishing runners up behind champions Sevenoaks Town and also winning the Kent Senior Trophy by beating Sheppey Utd.

The two sides have met just twice this season in the league and both games have been evenly contested. Whitstable edged the first encounter at The Culverden winning 1-0 thanks to Ricky Freeman's goal.

The Wells signed off from the 17/18 league campaign with a 1-2 away win at Sheppey Utd.

The hosts took the lead after 6mins through Dan Bradshaw.

Skipper Perry Spackman equalised for The Wells on 31mins.

Super sub Ollie Cooke entered the fray in the 3rd minute of time added on and headed home the winner with his first and last touch of the game to secure the 3pts and The Wells 12th league win of the season.

The Wells finish the season in 15th on 46pts and a record of 12 wins, 10 draws and 16 defeats.

The final league fixture of the 17/18 season sees The Wells travel to Holm Park to face Sheppey Utd.

With one game remaining The Ites sit 11th on 51pts. Their record consists of 14 wins, 9 draws and 14 defeats.

After Wednesday evenings 1-0 away defeat at Erith Town, The Wells remain in 15th on 43pts.

The Wells have played Sheppey Utd 4 times already this season in all competitions, drawing twice and losing twice.

Last seasons meeting between the two sides saw The Ites win 2-0.

Kick Off 3pm.

In their penultimate league fixture of the season The Wells suffered a 1-0 defeat away at Erith Town.

Stedman Callender's strike on 11mins was the difference as The Wells fell to their 16th defeat of the campaign.

Next up, The final fixture of the 17/18 season sees The Wells travel to Sheppey Utd on Saturday.
