FA VASE DRAW - REACTION

Tunbridge Wells have drawn Rochester United at home in the FA Vase First Round Proper. The tie will be played on November 1 at Culverden, KO 3pm.

“A draw against a side from the same division isn’t ideal, but it’s at home so we will treat it like we do each game and do our homework,” noted first team boss Martin Larkin in response to the draw.

Although The Wells are only entering the Vase at the First Round stage, Rochester entered in the previous (Second Qualifying) round, and beat Sussex League Division Two outfit Bexhill United 6-2 away on Saturday.

“We had a tough win at their place a few weeks ago,” Larkin added, “but the Vase brings the best out of people so it will be a tough, but enthralling game no doubt.”
