Tunbridge Wells are delighted to announce the signing of former Whitstable Town striker Dane Luchford from Ryman League outfit Folkestone. Luchford moved to Invicta in 2012 and was a key part of a lethal Folkestone attacking force last season that hit 123 goals - Luchford bagging four goals in a 5-0 win over Sittingbourne - as Invicta finished runners-up in the Ryman League South. In all, he hit 25 goals in 76 starts during his time at Folkestone.

“We're delighted that we have secured Dane’s signature," first team boss Martin Larkin told www.tunbridgewellsfc.com. "He has been an integral part of the Folkestone team for the last two years and scored 20 goals playing out wide last season. Sixteen of those came in a superb league campaign for the club, so we are delighted to bring him on board. He will bring huge energy, talent and winning experience to our side as we continue to evolve following our start to the season.

"I spoke with the player at length yesterday and he is excited about playing in front of our supporters – the choir will now have the challenge of working out what rhymes with Luchford....!”
